What follows is a list of good places to get started on the Web.
I recommend that you take a look at all of these and add the most useful to your Hot List.

Zen and the Art of the Internet --
Originally published on the Internet, this 1.0 revision is a classic. Although fairly out of date, I still recommend it to anyone new to the Internet. The latest edition is available in book stores.

TUCOWS (pronounced "Two Cows") -- Stands for, "The Ultimate Collection of Windows Software", and fits the bill nicely. This site has Windows applications and utilities for just about every occasion. Both Windows 9x, Windows NT and Windows 3.x applications are available.
http://www.winfiles.com/
Windows ShareWare Archive -- This is the home of probably the most complete collection of Windows 9x 'ware on the planet. One of the best things about this place is that the author is very diligent about keeping everything up-to-date. There are several articles on setting-up Win9x networking, and pointers to patches and drivers for Win9x (something many of us need).

The WWW Virtual Library -- This is to my knowledge the most complete reference library for Web and related information on the 'Net. If you're interested in developing web pages or setting up a web server, this place should by at the top of your Hot List.
